Spring fitting on a bugeye
Have a set od Prodrive springs coming to me soon for my 02 WRX, how hard are they to change, and how long to allow. Bearing in mind i have never done thee before.
Or is it best to get someone to do it?
Your thoughts please

Its not hard to do mate, just you may loose some skin off your knuckles
You will need a set of spring clamps to safely remove and fit the new springs though.
Also a decent sized allen key, a socket to match the top mount nut. and a pair of mole grips to hold the socket.
When you put the new springs on, make sure you use a low strength thread lock or better still new nylock nuts on the top mount strut nut.
They may rattle loose other wise.
you will want to use some kind of leverage bar to drop the lower suspension arm when re fitting the shocks, be carefull not to damage the CV boot doing this.
Best off using two people. Just to be safe. also make a note of your settings on the camber bolt before removal. Although lowering will up set this anyway and you will need to re do your geometry settings, but wait for about 50 miles just till everything settles into place.
If you need any mid work suggestions you could call me if you want my number.
