Default noob with supspension questions!

Hi, just bought a scoob off a friend a few months ago and have a couple of sus. questions. I have a '98 2000 turbo which had PPP fitted at some point in its history. Its now got 118k on the clock, and the only other mods are 18" wheels with Toyo Proxes T1s 215/35 P718 tyres on it (about 8 months old) I dont want a screaming fast car, just one that handles even better! The prob i have at the moment is alot of arch scrubbing when me and my girlfriend are having a blast round back roads. Looking through some of the posts it seems my best option is:

New ARB's
New Drop Links
ALK
Alignment setting up
New shocks + springs

Does this sound about right? I though i'd ask here first because i dont want to buy anything unnessecary, (not sure about scoob specialists yet, whos reputable and who isnt) can anyone recommend who's good, and what works well on the classic scoob. Any help is much appreciated Cheers guys!

IMO:
Whiteline 22mm ARB
Links
ALK
Rear camber bolts
Alignment
Sti V4 or later suspension legs or good replacements for your units (see in Group buys)

As to a specialist, I would make a journey and get to Powerstation, but not local. TSL in Leicester maybe?
Try AS Performance in Co Durham.

sorry to pull this up, but, what about the front arb? shouldn't be replaced by the 22mm arb?

On a classic they seem happier on a standard front with a 22mm rear or
22mm front with a 24mm rear.

Newage seem more balanced allowing front and rear to be uprated together both to 22mm.

He'll need the 27mm rear if he does I expect.

Whiteline do them but never seen or tried one out...
I aught to though

24mm rear is in place with the 22mm at the front.
24mm on middle hole (I'm too scared to try hard) and the car IS much better.

Prescott this weekend and that will be interesting with this set-up as it looks like rain.

Don't like swinging spanners on the event, so it will stay on middle; too busy talking as Fuzz knows...

Graham

27mm? you cannot be serious?
24mm front if it arrives will be tried, but the 22/24 middle is very sweet.

I see understeer looming when you try that.
No harm in trying it though, experimentation is always good.

Exactly! The car is really good at the moment and I'm not keen to change anything now for a race.
Any pics of your car finished Andy?

Still waiting for bits Graham
Not only the carbon but wheel bearings as well now on back order.
when the wheels come off for that I'll fit the AST's. Cant be bothered to do it in bits and bobs at the moment as there is too much else going on.
Brake rotors and a baffled sump will also be done....

Then I can call it finished.
