Default scrapping on hard cornering

hi just bought a 94 wrx type ra been getting used to the car and think its great. but have come up witha problem have found with hard right handed cornering im geeting a scrapping sound like the car catching the arch it is especially bad when 2 people in the back . as far as i can see and know the suspension is standard anyone got any ideas have 215/45/17 all round cheers ash

what rims do you have? the et maybe wrong for the scooby. but if you use 215/40/17 tires maybe the problem is solved/reduced... the rims et is very important in this matter ( I think )

17" rims should be running 215/40/17 on a classic with an offset of somewhere between 50-53mm, the 45 profile tyres you run are too tall.

45 profiles should only be run with a width of 205.

hahaha yeh mine was doing the same till i removed the after market flaps from the rear looks better without anyways

no mudflaps fitted. took it back to the garage i bought it from and told them to fix it only had it a week so not going to spend my hard earned cash fixing it . think its got the wrong offset wheels along with the wrong sidewall height . nice car just had a couple of problems being a technician you tend to pick up on little problems will have to wait and see what they do. want to change the wheels not to my taste anyway cheers for all the advice
