I am after a little advice regarding suspension if anyone can help?
I have a MY01 IMPREZA WRX BUGEYE
I have bought some STI 8 struts and prodrive springs.
The front set up went on no problem i just used the original top mounts from my car.


However the rears are causing me some hassle ????
The legs will fit the car but my original top mounts are to big for the top of the springs, The diameter of the springs are the same till 3/4 of the way up the decrease in size ......................................




So what do i need to buy version 7 or 8 STI rear top mounts.

There is some differences between STI/WRX MY01-02 and MY03-04, basically they have different rear strut tops and different rear top mounts, thus your problem.
Just use top mounts from same model year car that your new suspension came off and bear in mind until MY05 WRX and STI have same top mounts front-rear!

Sorry about the confussion - I have bought STi Dampers from a MY02 STi Type UK Prodrive model so I will be fine with my existing top mounts (though I am after a spare set so I can swap complete units rather than dismantle my old ones...

I mis-read your PM and didn't notice you had STi 8 (MY03) dampers sorry

I'm just off to the courier's depot to pick mine up...
