Prodrive geometry settings
Hi all,
I have heard lots about how prodrive suspension settings (along with a couple of other mods incl anti lift kit) will transform the handling of my MY04 WRX.
So, what exactly are the prodrive settings? Are they just the physical settings of the suspension, (toe in/out, pos/neg camber etc etc) or is there something else involved?
If it just a case of applying these settings, are they common knowldege, or are they a closely guarded secret of the few recognised suspension geometry specialists (eg Powerstation).
My car is going in for new rubber today. Would anyone be capable of applying these settings (ie ATS or similar?). If so, does anyone here know them?
Thanks in advance,
Simon

Is yours a WRX?
Max camber front - factory rear, parallel wheels front / rear (or 1mm per wheel toe in rear if it's an STI)!
Although if WRX I'd suggest some toe out rear IF you like tail happy!

Go onto www.p1woc.co.uk and enter the wheel, brakes, tyres section and at the top of the page there is a thread PRODRIVE GEOMETRY SETTINGS. You should be able to print it off and take it with you to where ever you like to get it done. Either that or go to somewhere like powerstation who already have the settings.

Surely so-called Prodrive settings are specified more accurately than that?

There are distinct settings for a given spec of chassis that really work.
These ARE common knowledge and only work when applied by really competant people like PowerStation.
To find the road/roadrace/race settings go to www whiteline.com.au where all are listed
Warning:
It is a cr@p website and it is very hard to move around it, but you will find what is needed.
I suggest you also need more than a general tyre fitting shop.

This is what they did to my car's alignment:

Hi Graham,
Yup, I've got Whiteline's touring/sport/race settings. They recommend a bit more camber at the front than the rear, neutral toe front and (unusually) toe-out at the rear. In comparison I'm running 1.5deg camber all-round and near-neutral toe. TSL did the alignment, not the local tyre shop. Powerstation are at one side of the country and that doesn't suit all of us!!

It may not help, but the MY03 STI settings are: -
Set the tyre pressures to:
i. Front 2.3 bar (33psi)
ii. Rear 2.1 bar (31psi)
Set the geometry to:
i. Front Camber -1°15’ (-1.25°)
ii. Front Toe Total 0°00’ (0.00°)
iii.Rear Toe 0°06’ (0.1°) per wheel toe in [0°12’ (0.2°) total toe in]
Rear Camber is not designed to be adjusable.

Simply fit some camber bolts into the rear struts.
