Default Eibach springs

Hi,

I just had eibach lowering springs fitted. Supposed to be 30mm but cant see any difference yet??? Will this settle down and can i expect to see 30mm difference.

Also the plastic that is round a couple of coils is that supposed to stay on there?

Thanks

They will settle but probably not give you that sort of drop, more likely about 15mm or so.

The plastic is supposed to remain on them as well, Eibach also Prodrive springs for them.

What year is your car ??

We have fitted eibachs on older models and found they have not altered the ride height on some cars.
This was found to be because the original springs had become weak and sagged to the lower ride height already.
Fitting the new springs leaves the ride height the same but improves the handling characteristics.

Lowered springs such as eibachs are always quoted a 30mm drop from a car fitted with brand new O.E springs.

Hope this makes sense lol

The Eibachs are designed to work with the standard dampers so provided your original springs had not sagged there should have been a minimal reduction in ride height. Forget this thirty mill drop malarkey, what the Eibachs will provide is much better handling, if you want to lower your car then it is advisable to change both damper and springs as the standard dampers are designed to work on standard height springs.
