Question MY06 Spec C suspension on a MY02 WRX?

As above really - I want to put the standard springs and dampers from a brand new Spec C (Which is getting the Type 20 AST kit from new) on my Jap Import MY02 WRX

I've heard different stories about wether they will fit or not but I know of at least one MY02 WRX running with (pre MY06) Spec C springs and Dampers so I thought it was just going to be a straight swap

Advice please

They won't fit as all STIs after MY05 have different shocks (black coloured also), have a look:

Talking sti suspension

my JDM STi suspension will fit though. Getting changed out for AST's in 2 weeks.
They've done 18k and have Eibach pro-kit springs fitted
