The steering geometry to be set to prodrive settings roughly??

Any ideas anyone pls? And where is best to get it done??

Where are you based? Everywhere varies for example Elite in Rayleigh will charge about £60-70 +vat, Leda in Braintree will charge £100 +vat and Xtreme in Harlow wanted £160 +vat.

Forget Xtreme as they know nowt! but the other two I mentioned are reliable.

All you need is a workshop with a 4 wheel alignment and tell them the settings you want to run. A good place to start would be:-

Maximum = (side to side) negative camber front
The rear is non-adjustable as standard but adjustable camber bolts can be fitted for around £35 which will allow you to run more camber. I find for a nice balance I run the same camber on the rear as I do on the front but this is a personal choice and others will suggest different.

Front and rear toe should be set to toe in approx 1mm.

If you're an enthusiastic driver you would expect to see minimal abnormal tyre wear but if you stick to motorways then you will see some premature wear on the inner edges.

This can however be overcome by increasing the castor angle of the front suspension although it's not adjustable as standard. To gain an increase in positive castor you can fit a so called 'anti-lift' kit or adjustable top mounts. Increasing the castor angle will allow you to run less static camber which is what causes the inner wear.

 

Thanks for that info Mo. My last tyres were really bad on the inner edges (offside front the most). But just got a new set of toyo's and didn't want them going the same way.
I might look at getting it done in the near future.
