Default Coilovers or lowering springs on a 04 WRX?

Thinking of lowering my car with either coilovers or lowering springs, the thing is Ive heard that coilovers can make the ride pretty harsh, but I also like the idea of adjustable coiovers, so that I can lower the car how I want it, I also dont do many trackdays and maybe twice a year goto Santa Pod, so really they would be for fast road use.

Thats what I was thinking, I love the idea of adjusting the coilovers to suit my driving, but with the springs I'm stuck with it just being lowered at one setting, where as the coilovers I can have it on a low setting for a show or Santa Pod etc, then raise it for practicality.

Also as you know bighead, I have loads of speed humps near my house, I remember you following me, and seeing your P1 sowly going over each speed bump.

Ohlins have a very good regarding adjustability-height coilover kit plus a fixed perch adjustable strut set that mates with Prodrive, Eibach, STI pinks or every other spring kit you prefer.
I suggest it cause it is the most bump friendly suspension I have ever drive in a friend's car.
