Question Tips on setting up AST's

With 12 positions front and rear I'm gonna have a ball finding my optimum set-up Can anyone who has the same/similar system on an 03+ WRX/STi offer their experiences to help me along

Now, I know if I go too stiff on the front I may get more understeer
If I go too stiff on the rear I may get more oversteer
Is it worth setting it to the softest settings for a long m-way journey (350 miles to Devon soon) and then switching it back when you return to the twisties, or just find a good set-up and leave it ?

Come on guys, share your knowlege and experience

Thanks in advance

I suspect it will also depend on which wheels and tyres you have. I have the 05 RE070s so run it soft on around 3 rear 5 front.

Most people seem to run the fronts a little stiffer than the rears.

I have some RE070's on STi wheels that I use in the summer, and for special occasions. Through the winter she's on WRX alloys with Toyo's. The previous owner used 7f and 4r, which is what I have set it to but after a short blast I did experience some understeer turning into a fast right (wet) and got the tail out coming from a side road.

David,

Powerstation set mine up originally on 3 rear, 5 front, seems a good starting point. Best way is prob wind them to the lowest setting, and gradually tweek them. I went from the first setting, up to 6 rear, 9 front and settled on 5 rear, 7 front.

Thanks Simon. I thought you said 4r Was just opening it up to the BBS to see what others had experienced. Will play fully when I can enjoy a good road over and over whilst tweeking

I'm planning on getting PS to do a full geo set-up either en-route to/from Devon, or as a day out whilst down in the area.
