Quick one - my mate's STI looks like it's on standard suspension but is rock hard compared to mine (both 1996 RAs).
Someone told me once that *some* STIs came out the factory with stiffer settings - true?
Cheers

Wouldnt have though that the same year / model car would have different spring rates.. But certainly different STi versions have:
Spring Rates
Can you be sure both cars are on standard springs ?

no but they're both black springs with the same ride height - that's about all i know. It's just i'd heard whispers that some STIs left the factory with ridiculously stiff springs.
Thanks for the link - that's interesting reading.

after further thought, it's possible that my car has WRX 'throw-away' suspension as it's a MY95 STI-RA and was therefore modified from a WRX.
