Default Understeer

Hi i have a 98 uk impreza car ihas recently got very twitchy on normal driving conditions. Understeers pretty bad on twisty roads, dose not feel very stable on long fast bends.
It has the uprated prodrive shocks and springs any ideas on what it could be. Got good tyres all at correct pressure

How old are the shocks? Could be worn out.

imprezas have a tendency to understeer...especially on turn in. Had a series mcrae that understeered dreadfully! now own a p1 and even it understeers pretty badly. I thought it was just me but compared to my mates evo 6 which doesnt know the word understeer, i began to think it is a common scooby issue.
