sti4 springs
#2
If yours is not an STi already, it will not really lower car, maybe 1/2 inch?? But as the springs are a bit stiffer you may well see no ride height change. If it is an STi then no lowering IIRC, changed "like for like" .
I put 26000 mile old STi4 struts and springs on my MY94 wagon a couple of years ago ( with new STi top mounts ) and they feel and work fine, better than my 7 year old OEM soggy std wagon struts and springs ( even tho they were not leaking etc, ).
Despite the shocks and springs being off a 4 door and going on a 5 door wagon!
Other suspension mods too are worthwhile, metal a/r bar links, thicker a/r bars, polyurethane bushes, etc. etc.
