Can I get softer Tein springs????
As above, I have a set of type Ha coilovers to go on MY99 classic Type R but the lad who had them before said the ride is very hard, so was going to sell them but then thought about replacing springs. So can anyone recommend some springs for everyday driving but still good on the twisties??
Thanks
Chris
Thanks

I've got some JIC magic coilovers on my car at the moment that are ridiculously firm. They are so rigid that if you open the boot and sit on the edge the car wont even dip and my girlfriend wont ride in it anymore so whenever we go out together we have to take her car.
Just yesterday i ordered some new springs from Demon Tweeks, they have loads of different springs rates and lengths so you are bound to be able to get it how you want! I ordered 200lbs for the front and 180lbs for the rears which are very similiar to standard P1 rates.

Well put it this way, the set i had were very hard, but there wasnt much travel in them when you went over bumbs, yes they did have helper springs fitted as well to help with expantion travel.
so having all that i still had problems with the springs compressing all the way till you heard, and felt a thud every time you hit a pot hole or bump.
If you used softer springs would you get this problem and worse.
My view is that these coil over type susspentions are great on FLAT roads and track, but i would rather put S.T.i or spec C susspention on my car for every day use..
Sorry cant help you on spring rates..

I would go for eibachs,, its alot of money to spend on tein, if you get the wrong set up or your not happy with them , then its alot of money wasted.
But that is just my view, someone else may be able to guide you better with the teins.
I Took off the teins and put back on S.T.i with Eibach springs and it was loads better !! great handeling, with the ease off the english bumpy roads .
