movement in struts
I've been investigating some thumping sounds I get whilst reversing on full steering lock, which have arisen since I had a set of coil-overs fitted.
During my investigations with the car jacked up, I was turning the front wheels by hand, rather than the steering wheel, whilst looking at the suspension units. I noticed that at larger steering angles the bottom of the strut moves sideways (perhaps by 20mm, though I didn't measure it), as well as rotating. Should they, or do I have a problem?
I have a 10yr old MY95 WRX.
Thanks
David
