Question lowering question???

Hi there, Have a 95 import, have standard suspension at mo, i,ve got 18" alloys and want to lower it. How low can i go. I ask because after i had the wheels fitted i had a full load and giving it a bit on roundabouts you could here the back end rubbing i think the wheels were rubbing on the wheel arches. when you fit lowering springs i take it the springs are alot stiffer and i wont get the same problem????

hi mate ive got 18`s on a classic and have lowered mine appro 40-45mm with a koni sportkit (top adjustable inserts and springs)with 215/35x18 tyres-wouldnt like to lower yours without uprating the dampers tho because im pretty sure it would catch on the front then, had to trim edges of rear arches still tho,and ride is harsh-ish tho love how it handles in the dry.

ukdave...
That looks stunning,
What make are your wheels ?
I don't normally go for gold but they really do look good on there.
