FAO Mike Wood re MY05 Prodrive Springs
Mike,
Just wanted to find out whether the MY05 Prodrive Springs were ready for the STi Type UK yet?
Am anxious to get the car to look like it should have done from the factory as well as sort out the geometry etc.
If not, how long do you think it will be?

Subaru have indeed approved the spring kit for the 05MY WRX and we will have stock in the next few days. The kit will come with fitting instructions and geometry settings but I don't have a part number as yet.

Mike
Jason
The part number is SACC2666

Mike (or anybody ),
Are the springs actually needed on top of the spec C suspension setup on the STi?
Is it a case of like the earlier STis where they are better "tuned" for UK spec roads to get rid of the OE spring "traits") or is it just for show / lowering (for the "it must be better 'cos it's lower brigade )?
I sat in an 05 standard STi today and tried rocking it sideways - not a bit of movement - and being a pie-eater, I can get a bit of momentum going when I need to... Is this level of "non-compliance" going to be a bit OTT for UK roads hence the spring kit?
