Right.
Whats the lowest drop that is advised without messing up the handling of the car? Are we looking at around 40mm?

I would appericate seeing the photos of the drop on stock car to give me an idea.
Whats the lowest you went when it started to make the handling ability of the car decrease?

Had mine down around 40mm using H&R springs progressively wound. I did not have any major problems with clearance only front splitter and a tiny rub on one of the arches at the back on hard acceleration occasionally on the plastic. But this is so dependant on each car and wheel setup.
Does not look to low in my opinion. Handling was good only feeling slightly to firm on a particular tight hairpin bend with lots of bumps on the nearside by the apex felt like it was skipping slightly.
Only slightly stiffer than a standard STI classic shape setup.
This was with standard dampers on a MY96uk.

That looks 'normal' to me for a sensibly lowered car.
On 17's, the front rim aligns with the crease in the door/wing.
Any lower looks to me as if the driveshafts will run out of 'float' when the suspension is to the bump stops?
