Tein Basic damper kit - just fitted - impressions
Just fitted a set of Tein Basic coilovers to my MY97 UK turbo.
Was previously on brand new OEM struts and 35mm lowering springs.
The difference is totally unbelievable. The car's ride height is set exactly as it was but the ride is nothing like as harsh. The roadholding and handling feels much better to and the car generally feels more composed.
Speedhumps were previously an unpleasant experience and I would go out of my way to avoid them, especially with uptared ARBs, ALK etc etc.
Now, they are not a problem and the car's ride quality is on a par with my old man's C43 AMG Merc over the dreaded sleeping policemen.
The full kit is £620+VAT which is unbelievable value and the kit looks awesome. Build quality is exceptional and they literally fell on whilst fitting.
Anyone thinking of fitting lowering springs, I'd say, save up a bit longer and do it properly.
