Question Rear wheel steering?

I recently had a conversation with a few guys who I consider know more than a little about the Impreza. Over a few beers they claimed that my 02 STi "rear wheel steers". I politely smiled and said thats nice thinking it was a wind up.

Yesterday I was coming home and pushed a little too hard into an off camber corner I am very familiar with. Half way around it suddenly felt as though the outside suspension had compressed and the inside lifted and for the instant it happened I was certain I was about to spin. The car become very unstable and I could feel the rear end moving like something was broken? I wish I could describe it better but it was VERY sudden and scared the bejesus out of me. Its still got the standard STi coils and struts but has a 24mm rear sway bar and frount strut brace. I dont think I have really ever felt it before to such an extent.

Was this a sympton of "rear wheel steering" or am I showing the world just how gullible and stupid I really am

Well, he is Australian - what did you expect!

You also forgot to mention that he doesn't know how to drive either
