Hi,
I am planning a visit to Powerstation to get the geometry finally done on my MY02 STI type UK.
At the same time, should I be getting anyelse done ? ( I have a few hundred pounds spare)
Thanks

Not sure if the new age cars need the bumpsteer mod done, but if they do, get that done, and maybe also anti-lift kit on the front. I had both done on my 94 WRX wagon, along with the gemotery and it totally transformed the handling of the car. If you still have cash left, go for a remap as well, you'll probably then feel as though you've not a totally new car.

Just spoken to Powerstation. A very friendly bunch.
Am booked in for Saturday morning, to have the Anti Lift Kit and Geometry done.
Can't wait

Yoh Peanuts.
Geometry is £60+vat
anti lift kit £150+vat and requires geometry doing at same time, so I thought f*** it, get it done.
Tempted to get rear anti roll bar done too (£150), and drop links, but I'll wait and see what happens on Saturday

At our most recent EastSussexScoobies handling testing day, the majority of people had the rear ARB and drop links, for the "complete package". Our article on the first Handling Day was featured in True Grip last year. If you don't have access, I can mail you a copy of the article.
Doh! Just looked at the date! Probably too late now as you may well be there!
Good to see you at Japfest

Hi Keith,
Nice to hear from you.
Went to Powerstation yesterday for the first time. What a great setup and real friendly and knowledgeable staff.
After talking to Curtis, I decided on the Anti Lift Kit, front anti roll bar, rear anti roll bar, rear drop links and full geometry setup
Well, I thought I might just get the whole lot done in one trip. Saves going back again wasting time and fuel
Haven't had chance to give the car some real booty yet but did do a few roundabouts coming home yesterday and the difference is amazing
If you can mail me the article that would be great..
Have you decided yet what you are going to do re the power side of things ?
Cheers,
Mark.

Steve,
you & Lisa must come over next time we have a BBQ
Wasn't it bloody hot on Friday night ? How long did you stay ?

I made the same decision when I went down to POwerstation, the Antilift kit was a revelation I thought, totally cutting out the power-understeer which was previously present trying to accelerate out of a tight bend or off a roundabout.
24mm rear ARB stiffened things up nicely too. (MY02 WRX)

What are the warranty implications with mods like 'Anti Lift Kit, front anti roll bar, rear anti roll bar, rear drop links and full geometry setup’ if any??
I have an 03WRX and would love to get it handling better but don't want to void my Subaru warranty.
Am considering Prodrive springs + geometry setup, but wondered what else I could do within the warranty??

General impression is that mods will void the warranty on that component and others affected by it. So if you decat the exhaust there will be some affect on the engine (you wouldn't do it otherwise would you?) so warranty on the exhaust and also on the engine will be void.
If you fit these suspension bits then I guess this would void any warranty claim against, say, the suspension struts.
But I guess when you talk about voiding the warranty you are 99% thinking of the engine and gearbox warranty. I think anybody would be hard pushed to claim that changing an anti roll bar or fitting an anti lift kit could cause damage to the engine.
So my impression from reading here in the past is that you can fit this kind of suspension mods and only affect the warranty in some very small and unlikely to want to claim on areas. Bet you can't get them to agree this in writing though.
On the other hand these are all easily reversible mods so in the event of needing to claim......

Thanks for that Chelspeed - yeah I see what you're saying. I guess I'd have to be pretty unlucky to have a warranty claim on the suspension of an MY03 scoob for a few years anyway
I just now need to work out what mods to do...
