I have a thought,
If you have the bump steer mod done will it improve your braking distances? If the mod keeps your wheels always true inline the wheels must grip the road. If however the mod is not done, the wheels are probably never pointing exactly in the same direction, which in my mind means they are always skidding across the road surface. Perhaps some of you will have the answer. I would love to know as I am thinking of having the mod done and also concerned about brake performance/braking distances.I have an Sti v5.
Keith.

Hi Big S.

I can't comment on braking distances but having had the mod done the main change in braking for me was it will brake in a straight line "hands off" and is much less twitchy when braking hard for roundabouts and the like.

Hope this helps.

Keith,

I'm not really sure if it actually improves stopping distances or not. I'm sure SDB or someone who really understand geometery will jump in here and explain. My gut feeling says yes it does.

But what you can say is it certainly improves your confidence while braking *really* hard.

Cheers

Ian
