how do i improve my sti5?
#1
I've got a my99 sti5 which has some interesting coloured sti springs underneath (pink i think from memory).
I would to change the suspension somehow, as i find over bumpy roads the car gets very skittish etc.
I've had no problems with any other handling traits, just that it gets unsettled over a series of bumps and that my 10 month pregnant wife is dreading getting in it
Can anyone suggest some upgrades to my setup, be it springs and or shocks please.
Also would things like the powerstation bump steet mod improve my car?

Is she really ten months pregnant?
My wife managed 9.5 months before being induced...
Best of luck with the baby btw!.
Try some eibach springs or similar as a first step... Jap aftermarket springs tend to be very, very hard. Some springs with a progressive spring rate may be better - it depends what dampers are on the car. If they are the standard inverted strut KYBs then it should be a lot better with some sensible springs. I think that eibach do different springs for sti and export cars...
Cheers,
Alex

My daughter when she was in my wifes belly didn't like my bilsteins (race valved). She can't have like moving in the belly so much around tight corners.
She wouldn't come out, and I tried everything very bumpy roads... and she went to 9 months 2 weeks before being induced.
In my opinion the best value for money is the bilstein, they run huge shafts which are basically unbendable. And gave my car incredible handling and comfort to driving on the race track or road.
My cousin had Koni adjustables in his identicle car a got pissed off because he could even some close to my car for handling.
My bilsteins have been in the car for about 150,000Km now and are still like brand new.
