Pro-drive camber settings again!!
#1
All,
Had the car serviced at Tileys of Bristol yesterday (15k), and before spending money on having the Bump steer mod done, thought I'd get the Pro Drive recommended cambers adjustments whilst in there. I'm not knocking Powerstation here
Since having the car from new I haven't been that happy with the handling compared to other cars I've driven. It's fast but a bit touchy, a few suggested that it could be my driving, but have to disagree with them now.
Please see my earlier thread:-

Thanks Babber,
That's pretty much all I could get out of mine in standard trim too.
Not used to seeing toe measured in degrees and minutes - we use mm. Is that basically straight ahead or is it toeing out?

Can someone help me out here - I'm a newbie.
What are the Prodrive settings? Everyone seems to be talking about them but no-one I've seen has actually stated the specs.
I'd be interested to know.
Mine?
Front
Camber -2.5
Castor +4.0
Toe 0
Rear -1.25
Toe 0

Anyone have any views ?
I'm not saying the bump steer mod doesn't work, but mines seems fine now. Thinking that everyone had the bumpsteer mode done at the same time as the Pro-drive settings, and reflected on both mods.
Sideways (who has got a p reg wagon) drove it and said "HELLO", take me to Tileys.
Is it that the bump steer mod works better for older cars (i.e. MY98 and earlier). I wanted the Pro-Drive settings done before going to powerstation to compare. Is it worth trying the mod cause the car is now fantastic, compared to crap handling off the shelf.
Cheers to you, Phill C
