This should provoke a bit of discussion...
What damper settings do people use on their Leda B struts?
From reading the forum it seems most people run the fronts with higher settings than the rears.
I appreciate that most of the weight is on the front, but after playing around I have always found better results by running higher settings at the back.
This reduces the car's tendency to understeer noticeably.
The car is a '95 5 door.
As a guide :
On Road 4 - front , 6 - rear. Comfortable, but underdamped.
Nurburgring 12 - front , 16 - rear
Castle Combe(very bumpy) 16 - front , max - rear
These are all dry weather settings. I would back off about 4 to 8 clicks on the track settings in the wet.
The car has the standard Leda springs 275/225

There is, of course, the "wife" factor
I'm sure you, as a secret agent, will sometimes appreciate the need for stealth & secrecy The ride as given by the springs is somewhat harsh at low speeds, but once going, is perfectly acceptable. Should the wife start findng her teeth in her lap on the way to Tescos could lead to trouble 
The springs are harder than standard & would seem to act as dampers in their own right. PTMW! does not appear to have any adverse handling traits due to these minimum settings and positively thrives on twisties & roundabouts. There has been no instances of dubious handling in the 8 months that they have been on PTMW! Have talked to PC & Leda about this & it did not appear to cause them undue concern.

My normal road settings are 8/6
Fast road driving i've taken this up to 12/6 which makes the car turn in very nicely. If I take the rear much above 8 on the road, I've had a problem with it jumping around too much on bumpy surfaces.
I don't have any problems with understeer at any of these settings.
