Standard strut life
#1
Having changed the suspension on my 94MY Turbo with standard Subaru parts only 2 years ago due to worn out rear struts I was quite suprised when they needed changed already. Do others have the same problems?
Going by this I do not fancy buying rear struts every 2 years so which after market kits can be rebuilt.

Are you near Micheldever off the M3?
They have a shock absorber test ramp. Kind of vibrates the wheel up and down and I think measures if any frequency defeats the damping. There's probably a thread here somwhere with a picture.
It diagnosed the worn 3 shockers on my MY97 at around 30K miles. Front right of which was doing almost nothing.
Subaru UK kindly replaced all four under warranty and was a transformed car. A slightly bigger improvement than the powerstation bumpsteer mod, and that's a big improvement!
regards,
Rob.

So not many folk, have problems or they have changed their set up before problems have happened.
So which after market kit can be rebuilt or can all struts be rebuilt?

The answer you are looking for is the Leda B kit - only available from Scoobysport
It is, however, quite pricey. But is fully adjustable. If you're not looking for hard springs, I am sure a different rate can be specified for you. Also comes with a good warranty.
As to Stef's 85000 mile units, wonder what he'd think of his handling after they were changed ? Much improved is my guess. I'm sure your car is not meant to dive as much as it does under heavy braking & that is with Eibachs too
Stick the pictures up for Jamie, Stef...
