There are two schools of thought on Strut Braces.

Those that say they work with the Scoob. And those who say they do nothing but make the engine bay look nicer.

As the old cliche goes - you pays your money....

I have no personal experience to go on. Just read other threads.

I don't have an OMP or Sparco but I do have an E-Tech brace from Demon Tweeks. I fitted this a week or so after the Eibachs and the car definitely turns in better - it feels flatter. The E-Tech is polished alloy with red end plates and I believe that the OMP is yellow (around £40 from Falkland) while the OMP is red. I followed mine up with the steel antiroll bar links from Scoobymania and the car is now transformed. Understeer is much less, turn in is miles better and I wish that I had done this ages ago. HTH.

I have had both the Omp and Sparco strut braces fitted to my scoob.

Although the handling side is much of a muchness between strut braces, I found the build quality of the Sparco far superior than the omp one.

The Sparco is all nicely machined in aluminium (polished alum. cross member with red ends) with very few flaws ( is currently on mine at the moment.
The OMP one is simple and boring (in Yellow) and it looks like the ends have just been welded on.

But I suppose you get what you pay for with the Omp one probably being the cheapest Strut brace you can get for a Scooby, with the Sparco one being about £80-90.

Sam,

E-Tech was £72.33 delivered. Expensive, I know, but it seems to be a quality piece of kit and is adjustable at both ends. Polishes up luvverly too Cheers.

Remember to get your geometry checked, after fitment. I'm told fitting a brace can change things.

I had an OMP brace on my first Scoob, I didn't think it made much difference handling wise, but made the engine bay look more business-like

It also stripped off the panel sealer goo-stuff off the strut tops when I took it off
