The ride on my recently aquired UK MY96 is a bit sort of.. er..bouncy. It has done 80,000 miles and is on the original springs and dampers, so its possible that the suspension is a bit tired. (I have consulted the dealer who tells me that this is a characteristic of the car).

I have been offered a slightly used damper and spring set from a WRX thats only 6 months old, at a fair price, can anyone advise me:

1. Is the WRX kit compatible with the UK car.

2) How will the ride be affected, ie will it improve the ride? could it be too firm? etc.

3) Is the conversion a straight forward DIY job. I have spring compressors, vice, garage, etc.

4) Will the WRX kit lower the car?

I would be grateful for any comments

Cheers
Denis

I think Scott T's post following this one answers my question.
