when going over some bumbs and ruts (not all!). 97MY UK 4-Door std set-up...any ideas?

It does`nt appear to be the Anti-roll bar bushes (From the lower control arm the ARB is connected by a link and then goes through the bush and under the engine - this bush OK)

Could it be the pads moving in the caliper (unlikely I thought)?

James,

I've got a similar problem (MY93 WRX) but it seems to come from the left rear of the car. Had no luck finding the cause, let me know if you have any success.

Good luck,

Tone.

James and ToneLoc, Its not easy to tell if the bushes are nackered because the rubber tends to go soft rather than wear away. My 93 WRX has had new bushes all round and doesn't give problems any more whereas before I changed them I got a lot of "chatter" when driving slowly over coarse road surfaces and the handling is as sweet as a nut now.
