Hi
I've had (professionaly fitted) an STiV suspension kit to my 99MY turbo and there is an annoying knock coming from the front wheels, which only happens on lock at low speeds. The cars has been up on the ramps again but everything seems tight.

What's up Doc?

Thumbs up

Check the alignment of the two plates at the top of the springs then check that they are free to turn with the shock as it rotates. I found the knocking on mine was due to incorrect alingment on the topmounts. Now that they are in line a all greased up there is no knocking or clunking anymore ;-)

Before I checked the springs didn't want to turn with the shocks ;-(

Exclamation

I can relate to this, just had some suspension fitted on my V, and at low speeds I can hear what sounds like a tapping noise coming from all four corners! It can be quite load depending on the road surface, and increases with frequency as the raods get bumpier.

I've been told it's probably the seals in the dampers(?) which are quite tight apparantly.

Just wondered if anyone has experienced similar problems? The noise does not diminish with the damper settings which I have set on 12 front and 10 rear.

Having said this, the suspension setup is quite superb, completely transformed the abilities of my car, increadible stuff, I can now see why so many people bang on about changing the suspension!

Thanks for any thoughts,

Dave
