Just thought I'd post to say yesterday had the whitline anti-lift kit fitted and the bump steer mod done at RRR (Thanks Dal) along with redoing the geometry settings using Group A camber bolts, so it's running more camber than you could with standard bolts. (this in addition to Eibach springs, front strut and rear antil roll bar drop links)

The understeer has all dissapeared now, which is nice. And if you're really giving it some coming out of the corners the car goes into a nice easy controlable drift. I found this out on a private test track last night, of course.
Can't wait to feel what it's like in the dry

RRR are based in Essex. Dal, who runs it, posts as Flat Four Impreza Club on scoobynet.

I can't remember exactly how much it was, cos there were lots of things done at the same time... it's around the £100 mark.

The only other place I've heard of doing this is Powerstation in Cheltenham, but I'm sure if you ask around places in the midlands someone will be able to do it for you.

I'd recommend TSL as I've used the min the past and think they're excellent. Apart from the fact that they've worringly started playing with Evo's.

Cool

I have an STiv3 with ALL the Whiteline stuff on it and MRT top mounts etc. The settings are radical but no bump steer mod.
Honestly, is it realy that influential on understeer? The 4,5 deg pos caster I have sure is!

I think the Whiteline ALK is a bit of smoking mirrors too, although it's on my car!

Comments?

911,

Only way to tell if you have bump steer, even with all that kit on the car, is to simply measure it.

If there isn't any there, you haven't lost anything. If it is there, it can be removed and you will gain even more, er, less, understeer.

Is this on the hillclimb/sprint car ? If so, get it done (if it needs doing) it could save you time

Cheers

Ian

Cool

Ian, the Sti is a hill climber, driven to and from the meetings. It used to corner on full lock in max attack mode....
I'm always looking to gain any little bit extra, 0.25 secs is a huge gain in hill climbing.
moving to slicks this season from road tyres, so I should realy get the big negative camber off each corner to make the crossplies work for me. Been thinking of the bump steer mod at the same time.
The BS mod is simply raising the rack on packers? I did this on my ulta lowered 911 and it was great.
Sounds like another £250 for a set-up...
Graham.
