What are your views on the ride quality of these springs?

I had mine fitted and we (my wife and myself) have noticed the car still bounces about causing her to be sick on long journeys, albeit less than previously before the springs change.

we are used to performance motors(last one was a evo6),the ride was hard but not uncomfortable.
your views would most welcome to change our minds on whether to sell the sti8 ppp.

Hi prodriveuk,

As of yet I can't give you any personal feedback regarding the prodrive spring kit (due to have it fitted to my St8 within the near future). But from the people I've talked to and the info I've read, the spring kit significantly reduces the low speed bounce (although some people still say they can notice it) and also improves the overall handling of the car.

Where did you have the kit fitted?

Well I hope the above is of some assistance, sorry I can't be of more help.

Question

What wheels/tyres are you running?
My STi8 still shows the tendancy although it is definately better (the wife says so!) I am on 18"FF7 with Toyo 225/40 My son has the same car and springs but with 18"OZ's with 225/40 Pirelli P-zero Nero's and his shows less tendancy to bounce. So I maintain that a number of factors enter the equation, including the damper settings maybe?

JohnD

thanks for reply m8, i'm on the same 18's as yourself but with the p-zero nero's.I've spoken to alot of people today and concluded it must be the shocks that are not quite doing its job properly.

On that note i've booked the car in to the dealers and have a drive of their sti8 to establish whether there is a problem with the damping.

time will tell i suppose!!!!
