Hi you lot - relatively new here. Had my STI8 with PPP for 3 weeks now - love the car, except...noticed the bouncyness - wasn't sure if I was looking for it too hard after reading this BBS, but I'm sure it's there. Had a 330CI before this car, and never noticed the bumps like now.

Anyway, I have 2.5yr old twins - would like the spring kit, as it seems universally agreed that it's the right thing to get. However, I'm a bit worried they will make the car even harder on the roads and a bit uncomfortable for passengars and my kids. What do you reckon?

Cheers.

The reduction in "bounce" makes up for the very slight increase in hardness (and it is only slight!) The springs do not completly eliminate the problem,(on my wheel/tyre combination anyway) I still maintain it's partly a damper related issue, but at least the Prodrive springs offer an improvement.

What wheel/tyre combo do you have? I'm on 18" Crystal Titanium with Pirelli P-Zero's.

I'm using 18" Prodrive (Speedline) FF7's with Toyo 225/40's
My son has an STi8 as well and he is on the same combo as you and the "bounce" effect on his is less than mine!(we now both have the Prodrive springs)
The FF7's are wider than the OZ's and this pulls the sidewalls of the Toyo's somewhat which may effectively stiffen them
