cream crackered GX shocks

Poor road surfaces, and badly balanced wheels are what kills shocks. You've got to bear in mind that they are continually moving up and down whilst driving.
I seen it mentioned that Shocks in general start degrading in performance at after 50K. But then it probably was the manufactureres who said this (to get you buy some new shocks )
IIRC last time I drove a GX, it had very soft and sqidgy suspension (when comparted to the Turbo). So worn shocks would probably make it drive like a boat!
The usual "test" for them is to bounce the car, Upon releasing, it should go to the top of the travel then almost settle. If it goes down futher and up again, they are most likely knackered.
edit: just realised you said 100mph not 100k miles !!

the back end of our 2001 GX is bouncing all over the shop.
its terrible.
I think the shocks are knackered after doing 100+ on the motorway and hard riding when we took a break darn sarf.
4 lardy yorkshire buggers, and we loaded the car up full. loads crammed in the boot.
could the force of 100mph+ spoiler (designed for wrx one assumes, which has harder shocks) downforce on bouncey GX shocks have knackered them out??
help please.
