Question

Hi all

I phoned PowerStation today to book my car in for the 4 wheel alignment and the bumpsteer mod. I didn't realise that this wasn't called for on the MY03.
The guy suggested a few other options, namely:

An Anti-Lift kit (which he did explain but lost me a bit)
An Anti-Roll bar
Eibach springs

All the options come in at a similar price (£100-£150+vat fitted) so which one should I go for? Has anyone had any fitted (I would be very interested to find out the various merits of each)? I do 100 miles a day down half motorway and half national speed limit road (lucky me :-)).

He also said that none of the above should affect warranty? I know about the parts of an equal or better standard clause but would I have a battle in the event of a claim?

I quite like the sound of the Anti-Lift kit but I dont really know why..........

Cheers

Dave

hi mate, spooky i have had all that you listed above fitted on my 03 at powerstation this monday, along with a geometry set up,all i can say is yes money well spent, very pleased with all work carried out,car handles excellently even when really pushed around islands, but the ride quality has not been affected much,it's not a harsh bumpy ride like some set ups.car now also sits nice, not alot lower but you can tell it is sat differently if you know what i mean,i see you are in manchester if you do go down to powerstation let me know you are more than welcome to see my car first as i am 15min away in gloucester
cheers

Excellent mate. Thanks for the offer. I've booked in for the geometry on the 15th of November.

I'll probably have to shelve the rest though because I have just stuffed an alloy wheel going over a pot hole at about 20 mph!! I'm going to have a go a the council but I suspect I may have a bit of a fight on my hands. The wheel has a flat spot on the inner rim so I can't even try and forget about the cosmetic damage.

Thanks for the offer though, much appreciated.
