Does anyone know the internal diameter of the spring on the HKS Hipermax 2 Coilover?
I know that the free length is 250mm but I still need the internal diameter!
Am intending to fit slightly softer springs than the standard ones as they are a bit hard for roads that aren't smooth!!

Sly - got my springs now and am having them fitted on Saturday!
How is your suspension now? What setting have you got the front and rear dampers set at? Am assuming Anti clockwise is the lowest setting and clockwise is the highest setting!
Did you have a knocking sound from your front suspension after fitting the coilovers? Mine sounds rather noisy - suspect that the 500lb springs fitted were so hard that I have damaged some bushes - certainly the bush at the bottom of the front droplinks is soft and soggy!

The new springs are better - still very hard - I could easily have gone for softer ones! I currently have the dampers on the softest setting which gives me an acceptable ride quality.
However the ride height of the car has been changed - 10.5 inches is too long when you fit standard type springs as opposed to the progressive spring fitted as standard to the HKS Coilover. This means that even with the height adjustment wound down as far as is possible without having the spring rattling around the car sits somewhat higher than before! I believe that the springs I fitted 10.5 inches long 350 lbs Front and 250lbs rear may have been more effective if they were slightly shorter.
I think that at the moment the springs are so taut that the dampers are only operating effectively when they are set to allow the maximum amount of travel. My thinking being that if the spring was shorter it would come within the operating range of the damper more easily. What do you guys think? I did speak to HKS Europe but they currently don't import springs for these coilovers into this country - I may speak to them again and see what they have to say!
I'd be very interested in hearing from others who are using HKS coilovers and what their experience has been.
