i hit a kerb a while back and i suspect my car might be out of alignment, anyways rather then replace control arms and such with standerd (and probably well over priced) parts id rather replace them with proper motorsport parts

i have been looking at these fellas available from demon tweeks/thieves (delete as aprop )

im thinking that i will be fitting them myself, i asume that u measure the legnth of the standerd (un kerbed lol) parts and roughly set the angles, then have a 4 wheel alignment carried out to finalise the settings

now, has anybody ever played with these fellas and do u have any recomended settings for tarmac (re road use) spec?

pros or cons (if any) of useing these over me just buying sum new standerd parts and having them powdercoated red

spanking you in advance

Cool

Stick, I bought mine from Whiteline direct before Demon T started to sell the kit.
I set mine to standard length + 6 mm so i could get mega negative camber on the rear.
Had the whole car set up to Whiteline Project REX data which calls for a WWIIDDEE rear track, looks very WRC from the rear. Car dives realy well (I compete in hill climbs in mine).
Check out www.whiteline.co.au.
Good luck with the conversion, and by the sound of it anything else you get up to.

How much are the Whiteline bits?

They look quite nice, but I do wonder about the strength of threaded bar section. I guess they've been tested sufficiently well though, so I'm probably being silly...

Cool

Is it fine? No. Is it good, No Is it fooking great? You bet.
The car has ALL the Whiteline parts and a few MRT bits also. It runs a dream, has survived 3000 miles and 10 full-on hillclimbs.
Realy good, those Aussies do know what they are doing.
Despite radical angles on the set-up, tyre wear is even, no tramlining, and a hint of understeer if you drive like a ...
novice.
Realy pleased. And it even has crappy AVO coil overs!

You know it makes sense.
Graham.

are u running the soprt settings or the touring ones??

i fancey the top ones myself (cos im a bit of a nutter lol)
rom memory i think the top one was 1.2 degrees negictive camber (thats all that stuck in my head lol)

my wheels are 45mm offset so thats allready increased my overall track by about 5/6mm

once the engine reaches 320bhp im going to call it a day anyways, my main aim is to have the car useing all the power, not useing extra power to overcome the cars shortfalls in the handling department

other stuff im looking at (in time)
ALK - undecieded with this one, i dont like the idea of excessive front end dive on hard braking
22mm adjustable rear roll bar for definate
front roll bar - not sure as im doubtfull of any gains
uprated rear roll bar mounts
uprated rear droplinks (keep meaning to order them but never manage to find the time during the day lol)

considering bumpsteer mod as well but its a big old drive to have it sorted (im in ne england)

Cool

Sticky, my STi has the following spec for the suspension:
Whiteline lower rear arms
Whiteline camber bolts front and rear
Whiteline ALK (sport hardness)
Whiteline anti roll bars Fr and Rr and rear drop links
Re enforced reat anti roll bar support brackets (home modified)
AVO struts (beware!)
All rubber bushes replaced with Polyflex purple colour bushes
Rear diff carrier bushes also Polyflex
Steering rack in Whiteline bushes
Front lower strut brace from Whiteline.
MRT sport hardness front top mounts
Full alignment by Cooordsport to Whiteline spec.

Wheels are P1's, 17 x 7 and the tyres are Kumho V70A's (bloody sticky)
So there! Stacks done drives a dream!
Graham.

Cool

Tut, tut. Get into the real world!
The settings did not knock 7 seconds off my race times, but did do 2 seconds (in the real world!)
