If you are in Nottingham, then buy the springs from your Subaru dealer, and speak to TSL (they're in Keyworth) about fitting and setup.

They sell Eibach springs, but I'm not sure if they are the same spec as the Prodrive Eibach springs that you have to buy from main dealers.

Looking to lower my 52 STI 7. On previous cars I've merely replaced the existing springs with lowering springs, leaving the shocks etc as standard. Can anyone suggest a decent make of lowering springs with a rough idea of costs etc and whether they effect ride quality too much. I'm looking for a noticable difference in ride height but not daisy cutting style! Maybe 40mm 'ish..........

Got to be the Prodrive springs at £165 + fitting and alignment.
Lowers about 30mm?
Big increase in handling ability, and a better ride!
Fitted mine myself, but do need good equipment, especially an impact wrench for the strut top nut.
The car is transformed, why don't they do it as standard???

The only springs available for the STi 7 to my knowledge are the Prodrive Eibach springs but these will only lower the car 20-25mm. They are a good replacement and improve the ride and handling a fair bit.

You could probably find some other springs to fit to lower the car 40mm but they will almost certainly destroy the handling of the car!

Excellent, Prodrive it is then.Do these have to be ordered from anywhere in particular and do they have to fit them or do I need to get them and then get someone else to fit them. I'm in Nottingham and would normally use Smartcar as they have all the computer alignment equipment etc...

get them from your dealer, anywhere can fit them, as long as they can set the geometry up
