Red face

When pulling out of junctions ( slow speed ) and maybe applying a little power then I get a loud clunk from the near side wing area.

When I go over a sharp level change - pothole, road surface change etc. then the clunk is there too.

Whipping the wheel from side to side does NOT caues the clunk, nor going over speed humps etc.

So, any ideas what is causing it?

Is it soggy bushes, worn wheel bearings, leaking / weak damper or spring problem?????

The car is a MY94 WRX wagon, with the Whiteline uprated anti roll bars and metal drop links/poly bushes, strut brace, otherwise std suspension and brakes.

I want to ID the problem bits so I can get them changed!

Cheers

Neil

I also get a sqeek from the n/s/f suspension area more often than the clunk ( now I turned radio down! ) when going over speed bumps and other bumpy stuff, and on left hand corners.

Does this mean my front dampers are shot, or steering rack / power steering system etc.?

Gee this gets worse doesn't it!
