noise from the back end !!!
#1
Hi there,
Just had the rear beam bushes changed (powerflex) and have noticed a noise and vibration from the back of the car. This was not happening prior to the new bushes being fitted. I have had a local garage look to make sure nothing obvious is wrong, which it wasnt..
There were metal caps on the old bushes which I noticed the mechanic left off when he fitted the new bushes. Would this cause the problem (I hope so 'cos cheap to fix). The problem seems worse with a full tank of fuel. Any ideas?
My only other thoughts are driveshaft/diff knackered (hope not eh!)

The harder Powerflex bushes WILL transfer more NVH - that's noise, vibration, harshness, through to the cabin.
Its the trade off for having suspension bushes that stay where they are meant too! You'll get used to it I imagine!
