Rear suspension creak:MY'98
#1
My Scoob has recently started making a distinct creak on coming down off speed bumps. I take 'em slowly, but the noise is getting worse, in fact it can be heard from outside the car.....HOW embarrassing??
It's a '98 UK car, but with Whiteline solid droplinks all round, and an uprated rear anti roll bar.
Does it sound to anyone as if I ought to be worried, or is some spray grease gonna do the trick somewhere?
Thanks for any replies.

I've got a similar thing - not noticeable from outside though. my feeling was that my standard droplinks were going.
I've been thinking about upgrading my suspension so haven't really pursued it. Would be interested in others' opinions though.

I had this on mine, Except mine was when i accelerated / decellerated (Car squats / Car rises) New drop links, No joy, Greased Anti roll B bushes , no joy, Turns out to be Handbrake cable, As it moves slightly when the suspension goes up & down.

Forgot to add. Quick tester,
Park the car on a up bank, turn off, release the Handbrake slightly keeping the button pressed in, let the car roll slightly & ease handbrake up & down & the same time. Do you get the creak ??

Yes a slope will do, Ended up having to take the discs off & freeing up / cleaning the handbrake mechanism that operates the shoes inside the disc drum, also cleaned all the contact points where the shoes touch the back plate, then lubbed everything with copper slip.
