well i was under my wheel ach today cleaning the brake pads up (no im not a concourse freak lol) (i had brake squeel) anyways looked at my bottoam arm wishbone things ad there dull alloy in finnish

scratched them to see what they was like and they was bright silver underneath

have i scored for another performance part? the car is a my97 wrx import which came with alloy bonnet, boot lid, sti rear lights, alloy coolant thingy, sti3 rear spoiler and other bits and bobs i havnet found yet

whats the deal with the alloy wishbones?? did they come on wrx`s?

I have an (non STi) WRX Type RA I think mine are alloy as well. The bonnet is ally but the boot is very light steel. Most think the boot is ally because its light but I put a fridge magnet on it stuck to it so I guess its steel . Becareful not to scratch the paint on your boot if you do though, I used a very thick cloth .

Oh mine came with the full STI suspension system as well including the pink struts .

It also has the STi lights and the STI4 spoiler, and the STI rev limiter 8250 but WRX clocks and redline 7,500 (work that one out )

And finally the STI6 VF29 turbo

Indeed they have!

But there not much lighter, if at all than the steel ones that are on the UK cars??

This i discovered as i snapped an alloy one!
The steel ones cost less than half the price (For a pair!) of the alloy ones

Question

Not really sure, obviously i had to replace both for steel, but it still handles like its on rails, and theirs no loss in response either.

Does anybody know ????
