Front end knock when reversing and braking
#1
When I reverse and then press the brake there sometimes a knock from the front of teh car.
I have kjacked teh car up and hjad a look at the ARB bushes and ARB links.
Can anyone tell me how to determine whether they are knackered or not if it is not obvious?
Cheers

are you sure it's not the pads moving in the caliper, i.e. moving across the gap and hitting the caliper at the end of the rotation?
the pads are normally against one wall as you brake normally (clockwise / upper end of caliper groove) but might shift anticlockwise / downwards as you brake going backwards - when the pad is stopped by the caliper, this is the thump
just a suggestion...
