Anybody had any dealings with 3rd party strutt braces?

The latest Demon Tweeks catalogue has them listed from about £60 +vat for a bugeye and about £75 plus drat for an alloy/steel one.

Any recommendations?

 

Andy, dont bother with the OMP/Sparco units as they are weaker than the carbon STi unit.

My bet would be to spend the money and get a cusco 40 PHi unit. No if you can move those, you would be able to bend the subframe with your own hands.

- the STI one is about £250 (too much for me!)

 

You can get hold of cusco units a lot cheaper than that.

I heard the OMP ones were quite good......How do you know its weaker ?

 

Put it like this, THEY WOBBLE... But then again so do the STi units.

I have just bought an OMP strut brace and fitted it.......There is no play in it at all....Stuck proper fast and you can rock the whole car with it...Seems very strong
