Hey all,

Replaced my standard my97 suspension with some P1 I bought a while ago. One of the rear nut/bolts on the strut had seized on so I had to grind/dremel it off. I need to get a replacement will the scoob garage have these in stock ? just on the safe side if they haven't got any in stock I want to get the dimensions and get a local engineering place to make me one out og HT steel otherwise.....Anyone know the dimensions I think thay 14mm anybody confirm....?

Before reaching for the grinder, have you tried leaving it to soak overnight in spray oil and blowtorching the bolt before trying to undo it with a decent "grip on the flats" type socket?

I found the blowtorch very effective!

Didn't have time to let it soak...was gonna get the oxycet on it but it was too close to the cv boot...anyway its off now..I am currently driving it very slowly with the normal bolt in the bottom hole and a head and nutless bolt in the top with friction holding it in....So far so good.

Thumbs up

You can buy HT bolts from any bolt and nut stockist, in all sorts of sizes and lengths. It helps if you have one to show them. Find them through Yellow Pages.
