Suspension Help
#1
Help - I've waited a long time to be able to afford a turbo. Finally got myself and R plate model. Got it last week but cant believe how hard the ride is. Wife started to complain already !!!!! Think the car has been modified but can anyone advise just how hard is the standard turbo ride. I mean we are talking so stiff it practicaly jumps at the sight of a cats eye... is this normal should i just live with it... or get rid of the wife....

The standard suspension set up is very compliant and should not bounce around like you say it does. Looks like the previous owner put something else on it, possibly more suitable for track days than general road use. Try a set of standard '99 dampers combined with a set of Eibach springs for a cheap and excellent upgrade which is both good at normal(?) driving, fast road and usable for the odd track day - you won't regret it and your wife should'nt complain about the stiff ride!!
