Worn Rear Beam Bushes?

I've been informed that the Rear Beam Bushes on my MY99 UK 5 door Turbo are getting towards the end of their life. I'm getting occiasional bangs from the rear when going over speed humps a little too fast. Are these bushes the usual culprit? It's a real long job to swap them over so I want to make sure before going ahead. Has anyone else with a 60K+ mileage car getting told the same sort of thing?
