You don't say what model car you have but my UK MY99 had a similar problem, turned out to be the drop link bush was worn. Replacing both rears with MRT ones cost about £50 I think.

Cool

According to the SIDC this is a common problem on early WRX's like mine and yes it too knocks from the rear nearside. Have checked all the obvious like jack and things in the boot are secure. Got it looked at during my MOT and found it was the ARB drop link bush as well. Have now got a set of MRT ones coming from Jamie at JW Racing

have exactly the same on mine too - although seems to be more prominent on the off-side. need someone to crawl around my boot while driving over un-even roads.
REALLY anoying tho!

I've had a quick look at the stupid plastic OEM droplinks & they dont seem to be worn / move at-all if I tug at them. could it be the ARB bushes too that need replacing? or just the plastic droplink?

(thought it might be the handbrake shoes clonking. still not ruled this one out!)
cheers
Steve

Question

Scoobyduck - mine seem ok as well when I crawled underneath and had a look but when it was jacked up there was plenty of sloppiness in the bush
