going into a turnin and car was slidin and headin for a lamp post managed to aviod post but bang went the front left wheel into the kerb. Now the car wont drive in a straght line and the wheel is rubbing on the arch. Suspension hasn't dropped or nothin but the wheel is not were it should be!!! any idea wot damaged may have been casued and how much it will break my bank balance.

Sounds like a bent or displaced track rod.
If it's done that much damage, a visit to a dealer is in short order to check out the rest, and the driveshaft.
