I reckon this will cost you £500 - worth every penny.

No, just the rear roll bar and links - apparently, having teh front done as well can make things a bit noisy/bumpy - If you have it done, let me know the results.

PS, the Eibachs didn't relly lower the car, but the handling is awseome (well, even more than before)

Question

I don't suppose you have itemised bill? ie: what each bit cost to buy/fit?
Cheers, Alcazar

Thumbs up

OK, I've been and my car has had the bits done except the Eibachs.
Price was £540 or so, and the handling is MUCH better with better steering feel, and a general tighter feel to the entire car.

Didn't have the front arb touched, but a stiffer one on the rear, drop links all round, front anti-lift kit, (which is only for the front), geometry set up all round, and bumpsteer mod.

Had all that done to my P1 a while ago except the Eibachs. I had Eibachs on my old MY00 and whilst they improved the handling I felt they made the ride a bit too crashy.
What are they like on the P1? I guess it's difficult to tell what's doing what seeing as it was all done at the same time!

I find them a lot less crashy than the standard P1 items - and also more progressive - I would perhaps go as far as saying they are ever so slightly softer as well.

The end result is unreal - the P1 setup from the factory was a little skitish, and tramlined a lot - now I have less body roll, more grip, generally better handling and can go round corners faster.

Go get it done

Cool

Another very satisfied customer writes: I popped in to have my geometry set up and ended up getting new springs too today. The guys there are very friendly and take the time to chat about how to improve things with no sales pitch or pressure. I'll be back for more mods soon!

BTW, the driving experience is now much better, the Eibach's and geometry adjustments make the drive much more fluid and involving with stacks more grip - or possibly it gives better feedback so you can use what's there better (?) - whatever, it's miles better and wish that the WRX came like this as standard!

Well worth the money and well worth the trip to Cheltenham, top guys!

:-)

Mike

Bunked work today and took a trip in teh P1 from snowy Wimbledon to Cheltenham, to see the good folks at Powerstation.

After some fun with the one way, got the car into them at 2pm (and this at about 4 hours notice) for some choice suspension upgrades.

Was only gonna go for the bump steer, but came away with:

1. Bumpsteer mod
2. Anti lift kit
3. Drop links replaced
4. Eibachs
5. Geometry
6. New anti-roll bar (Whitelines)

What a fantastic improvement - don't ask me what did it, but the car feels amazing - I would recommend ANYBODY do this to their scooby. Turns in fabulously, all hint of understeer gone, but with the back fully glued to the road still. Where the limit was originally, the car just digs in further - if anyone knows the M4 junction of the M25 (London bound) the 40 limit (big bend) was abused by 110mph - magic.

Can't wait to get it round some decent twisties.

The guys there are top notch, with no bulls**t - it's nice to see a mechanic zipping round the workshop getting things done as-fast-as rather than the usual oily-hands.

Top service, top products, top knowledge, no cash discount though ;-)

J

Question

Interesting. I'm booked in next monday morning for bumpsteer, geometry, and anti-lift kit.
Do you have a list of what each bit/job cost? I might be interested in the other bits, but my car is only a '98UK turbo, so maybe not worth it? You did say yours was the P1?
Alcazar
PS:just looked at the date on your post to see when you went. How come it snows in Wimbledon in August?: Come to think of it, how come it IS August there.......................
I'm hoping for better weather by next week.
